Police are reminding the public to be vigilant after two fraud offences in Polesworth and Kingsury, Tamworth. The two incidents happened yesterday (Wednesday 5 November), when two elderly women received a phone call from somebody claiming to be a police officer from Holborn Police. If in doubt, call the real police on 101. If possible, make sure the line is clear. You can do this by using a different telephone to the one that received the suspicious call, or making a call to someone you know before calling 101. Please also alert your elderly relatives, friends and neighbours following this incident and report any suspicious activity to police.
