Police are trying to trace two young girls who were repeatedly approached by a man in a car in Manchester city centre. At about 7.15pm on Friday 30 May 2014 a man driving a five door silver Vauxhall Astra was seen driving up and down Fairfield Street, repeatedly stopping close to two girls who are believed to be aged between 10 and 13. The driver is described as balding, in his mid-50s, overweight, unshaven and dirty in .appearance The man then told a PCSO what had happened. Detective Constable Jo Tinsley, said: “This is obviously a very concerning incident and we desperately need to speak to the two girls who were on Fairfield Street on Friday evening. “I want to reassure them that they are absolutely not in any trouble at all. “I also want any parent who thinks their child was in that area last night or whose child has mentioned something like this incident to them to give me a call. “Lastly, we are eager to trace the man who undoubtedly stopped something untoward from happening. Please, if this was you, get in touch.” Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 9314.
