Police can communicate respectfully, care, use unbelievable restraint, negotiate, be patient and not shoot to kill an armed white citizen in the commission of a crime (jaywalking?). If this had been a black citizen would similar professionalism occur? No. To the officers credit he is negotiating an amicable outcome. To the EDPs credit he never points the weapon shouldered to place anyone in imminent threat of death. Each situation is different with many moving parts of probability which makes outcomes uncertain but I can comfortably say if this had been a black citizen hed be a dead black citizen 9 out of 10 times.
