Police crackdown on lawlessness By Mohamed Vandi in Pujehun Police Local Unit Commander in Pujehun has promised to make up for what he said were serious security lapses in the whole of Pujehun district, southern Sierra Leone. Superintendent Nathaniel Brewah said that “there are high cases of lawlessness in the district, especially among bike riders” adding that “most motor bikes are unregistered and the riders are without licenses. Besides, the use of helmet is not common”. Brewah said that he had observed that people did not seek security clearance when they undertook social activities, but that they only wanted the police to intervene when there was problem. He said that he was going to institute law and order in Pujehun to ensure that peace and tranquility prevailed in the district. politicosl/2013/11/police-crackdown-on-lawlessness/
