Police from Bankstown Local Area Command are investigating a fatal crash at Yagoona where a pedestrian has been killed by a vehicle that did not stop. About 7.20pm today (Thursday 3 July 2014), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway at Yagoona near the intersection with Cooper Road. A pedestrian, believed to be a woman in her 40’s, was struck by a vehicle and could not be revived by Ambulance Paramedics. Police crash investigators have been contacted. Police believe that a vehicle described only as being a yellow Honda or similar, was involved in the collision, and failed to stop after the crash. Witnesses to the incident are urged to contact Bankstown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1 800 333 000. Local traffic diversions are in place around the crash site and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
