Police in North Adams say they know who stole a motorized scooter that belonged to a local woman with limited mobility. Meanwhile, the community is rallying around Suzanne Williams, raising almost $4,000 to buy her a new scooter so she can get to church and the grocery store. The scooter was stolen from outside Williams apartment last month. Police have issued an arrest warrant for one man and expect to charge a second man in connection with the theft. Both are at large. North Adams Police Director Michael Cozzaglio tells the North Adams Transcript (bit.ly/1fhEU9W ) the men who stole it sold it on the streets of Hartford, Conn., For drug money. Williams used her scooter to make the half hour trip to the United Methodist Church in Cheshire every Sunday.
