Policies??? There is only the need for one policy that is to act in the best interests of the people. So how is there numerous policies? Like cutting welfare benefits for people regardless if they have worked most of their lives. And this is supposed to be in the best interests of the working man. How is it? It does not help them to pay bills ect raising wages does that. All it does is punish the poor even further and does nothing to address the system of low pay. To my knowledge there is no policy for capping the outrageous profits made by corporations which are not passed on to the people who do most of the work. There are statute laws ect protecting the rights of corporations and in particular the actual living breathing owners. Workers given zero hour contracts ect have no protection. The way i see it is that if you vote you are doing so based on their policies therefore creating a contract. If a contract is then breached (which it always is) you should have the right to void the contract and employ somebody else. After all they say they are public servants. But what if the policies of the parties are almost identical? And do not serve the people for instance i went to vote last night and the choice was ukip labour or tory. I wrote across ballot paper i withdraw my consent. I imagine that will be a spoiled vote now. So it seems we have the illusion of choice to vote for a party that does not represent the people and if you disagree your vote does not count. Sound like democracy?
