Politically motivated. Thats what VP Binay will tell you why theres plunder charges against him. Yet he conveniently forgets that corruption charges have been leveled against him since 2001 when Newsbreak covered his vast unexplained wealth. His declared wealth is 60.1 million in 2013 which is more than 500% higher than his original declared wealth of 8.8 million in 1994 when his SALN was first available. During his time, a mayor earned less than P30,000 a month. He has no known business and he must have spent hundreds of millions of pesos on campaigns yet his networth still increases every year. It begs the question, where did he get the money? Hed like us to forget that 4 Binays now are accused of corruption: his son mayor Junjun Binay (Plunder), his wife former mayor Elenita (Malversation), his daughter representative Abigail (PDAF), and himself. The 5th Nancy Binay is only in her second year in public office and time will tell if she is any different from her family. This is the man who wants to be president. A man who is proudly pro-political dynasty, a man who has his name on relief goods, a man who considers among his closest friends the biggest names in the pork barrel scam Enrile, Revilla, Estrada, a man who is the definition of traditional politics. Not everyone who is winnable deserves to win.
