Politicans in South Africa must stop tearing the country apart over Gaza. The dispute in the Holy-land has nothing to do with South Africa, and has two different sides, with totally opposing narratives. Most South Africans, Christians and Jews, believe in the biblical and Western narrative which supports Israel (also mentioned in the Koran) , whereas most Muslims as well as leftists in the ANC and Cosatu, and the EFF, believe the Arab narrative. However,elected officials sowing divisions in South Africa by exploiting this debate to sow hatred between South African Jews, Christians, and Muslims and for cheap political tricks in the Western Cape, could well be nothing short on treason and South Africans must not tolerate this. All South Africans have the right to peacefully support and speak out for whichever side they choose, but no-one has the right to use intimidation to prevent any South African from using his constitutional right to do so. Nor may he allow genuine foreign disputes to interfere in domestic issues. South Africans- We call on you to get our government to focus on their job of providing water and power to its people, stimulating the economy in order to increase employment and growth, and upholding our constitution, rather than supporting terror groups from overseas.
