Politics, agendas, religion, race, language, customs, privilege, poverty, power, occupations, neighborhoods..... all equal the Great Divide! Yet, looking beyond the shape of the eyes, the color and texture of hair, the variance and tone of our skin......... we find our common denominators....... red blood and a soul. My prayer for today is for intellect, leadership, compassion and a joint effort and commitment to Krazy Glue this very broken city of ours back together again. Not very long ago, we were attacked..... and our differences were a very mute point. We ran for our lives together, we dug through the ruins together, and we buried and mourned for our dead.... together! I have no answers.... just sadness, and enough sense to know that we need some kind of miraculous epiphany ; or this great city of ours is going to suffer dire consequences. I pray for the safety of all the men and women who serve our city.... who are in the trenches..... putting their own feelings aside to do their jobs .... and I pray for the public and the politicians to remember that United we stand, and divided we fall! On a different note..... Its time to bake those CHRISTMAS cookies! I hope you all do something wonderful today..... and dont forget to be #grateful
