Politics are public education. We can disagree on politics and political parties but children cannot be the property of 50 states and approximately 14,000 school districts--give or take a few corrupt for-profit charters---Americas children need to be educated equally and to compete across the U.S. and across the global marketplace. We need federally-funded and federally-accountable public education....or lets ship our pre-k through 12th graders to Finland for the school year and bring them home for vacations. Every child deserves a globally enviable public education and that does not happen with local control.
