Pond Restoration Project! The Dousman Family referred to the ponds as the “Fish Ponds” now known to most as the Villa Louis Duck Ponds. The Friends of Villa Louis and the Wisconsin Historical Society Foundation are working hard to make this major restoration a reality! Effort is underway with the first task at hand… fundraising. A firm from the Madison, Wisconsin area has been out twice recently to work up preliminary plans as to what indeed needs to happen to bring the ponds, duck or fish, back to historic shorelines, levels, and beauty.
