Pondering again..... Heres an idea for Black History - TopicsExpress

Pondering again..... Heres an idea for Black History month...How about focusing on the great and positive contributions of our black founding fathers and re-founders in our history? Oh wait......Its more profitable for elitist liberals and politicians to keep this negative and dark, and most of the time false narrative of slavery and racism alive to continue to cause deep divisions and keep us from being a United States! Here are some things you didnt learn in public schools or from Hollywood or the Mainstream Media or politicians. Thank you David Barton for your diligence and research of history and exposing many myths that have been perpetuated as truth in our country from the last 40 plus years of the twentieth century to now! Go figure....Black and white colonists working together! FYI, our history and the success of our country is not just black and white! Wentworth Cheswell was the first black elected to office in America, in 1768 in New Hampshire. We all know about Paul Revere’s famous ride warning that the British were coming, but Cheswell rode in another direction to give the same warning. Thomas Hercules was elected to office in Pennsylvania in 1793 When the Constitution was ratified in Maryland, more Blacks than Whites voted in Baltimore. In Massachusetts, blacks routinely and regularly voted in colonial elections Richard Allen was a black preacher at a white church (a “mega church” for its day) in the 1790s. Matthew Gaines was a community leader, minister, and elected as a Republican Texas State Senator. He made valuable contributions towards the establishment of free public education (public school) in the state of Texas. Lemuel Haynes was a black American, born to a white woman and a black man. He became a minister and pastored a church with a white congregation, and also fought in the militia in the American Revolution (as well as many other black American historical figures). Benjamin Banneker a black American who was involved in the planning of Washington D.C. and involved with building clocks and predicting eclipses.
