Pondering some thoughts...theres this thing on Facebook that tends to bring guilt and despair every year in November...this 30 days of thankfulness thing. :/ if I do start it, by week two I find myself waning...week three there might be one day...just piling on the guilt as I see all these perky little early morning thankful posts. Now, there is nothing wrong with it, it is so admirable. I envy those with attributes of dedication, organization, precision, but this Tigger/Piglet combination is messed up enough without having to try to remember every day do do a common specific action. So here is my way of playing the game but changing up the rules a little. ( you can join me if, like me, you are more than a few days behind. Its called catch up and you just name your thankfulnesses as you go. Like me I think Im 7 days behind on this 7th day of November, but that is completely perfect, since the number 7, I hear, represents completion and perfection. ( if Im wrong dont tell me. It makes my logic, well, logical! 1. I am thankful for God, Creator, Father, breath of Life, the one who has divine intent for this mess called me. He loves me, highly favors me, rewards me as I diligently seek Him and has made a way for me to live in His presence for eternity. 2. I am thankful for Jesus Christ, the anointed Son of God, God in flesh, who shows me what God looks like, what God does, how to walk in obedience, what its like to abide completely in the Father, who wasted His life (in the sense of pouring it out completely without reservation) to give me access to the Father, to usher me through the veil that once separated me from God. 3. I am handful for Holy Spirit, who gently leads me, guides me, confirms what the father is saying, where He is leading, who brings conviction, and affirmation, who validates me as I walk with God and admonishes me to step up higher when I stray off he path.
