Ponty Pool #PontyPool The film opens up on a very early snowy morning in Canada, and the main character Grant is on the way to his job at the local radio studio. While on the phone talking to his agent at a stop light, a random woman walks up to his car, just in hysterics, repeating something over and over. Grant tries to help, but she disappears. Shrugging it off as nothing, he makes his way to his destination. Upon arrival, on this wonderful Valentines Day morning, he asks his co-worker to get on the wire and see if there has been any strange 911 calls that morning. Everything seems normal until they get a tip via the cop radio that something is going on at a local doctors clinic, and a riot has literally spewed out from inside the building on to the streets. The only way that this radio station is getting its information is from any one outside and on the grounds of where this is happening. The crew scrambles to get the truth of what is happening only 5 blocks away from their studio, and soon they are knee deep in what appears to be more than just a riot. Much much more violent, deadly, and frightening. Okay, without giving the ending away, this movie is essentially a strange twist on zombie movies. It was actually a pretty fun movie to watch, because it kept the viewer engaged on trying to figure out what the heck was going on here! The basis of this movies scare tactics, is that you have to listen to what is being described to you as to what was happening outside their studio, and eventually you do actually SEE it inside as well. I like the guy that plays Grant, Ive seen him in a few other movies. The other actors were really great, well, except for the Arabian family that appears short term. I mean honestly. You had to find white people and pant their faces brown to make this movie??? You couldnt find one or two actors who were tanned to play this part? LOL. That was the only beef I had with this movie. Those particular actors ( when you watch the movie you will pick the ones Im talking about very quickly.) were just, awful. Everyone else, they were acceptable. If you like zombie type movies, suspenseful, and horror like films, go for it. Its not that bad of a film. Ive watched it several times just because I wanted to watch something while folding the laundry. I love Ponty Pool. Give it a go! I give it 3/5 stars! https://youtube/watch?v=GPtuSaK9h_k — watching Pontypool (film).
