Poor Eric has had yet another traumatic day having surgery on his hind leg which was caused by a vicious dog attack nearly 2 weeks ago. This is his 3rd operation in 10 days.. the 1st being a tail amputation... the 2nd he had his front leg fixed with a plate and external fixator and today poor Eric endured another 3 hour operation to have his hind leg pinned and plated. Sadly Eric is also fighting a postoperative infection just to add to the long list of co-existing complications arising from this dreadful attack. Eric has won the support of many people however the initial estimate for the veterinary care was between £500 and £600..... hich then quickly rose to an estimate of £700. Unfortunately since the full extent of his injuries have been revealed and the complications that have arisen the veterinary costs currently stand at around £1000 and there is a lot more care and veterinary intervention ahead.
