Popular Preachers Passing Out Candy On The Way To Destruction 1John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 2Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Ear-candy preachers proclaim that they are preaching a positive message. But are they? They exclude the TRUTH found in Gods Holy Word. If you truly love someone, you will tell him or her the truth. God is holy and cannot have sin in His presence. The REASON WHY JESUS died was to redeem us from eternal damnation. This is what the bible teaches. Yet apostate preachers dont want to preach about hell because they want to stay positive. Such preachers are passing out candy to people who are on the way to destruction. When the Towers at the World Trade Center were burning, the rescue workers were running through the building assisting others to leave immediately. Their message was escape. Escape from what? Their message only made sense if the people knew the building was on fire. Jude 1:23 tells us, And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Self-proclaimed positive preachers would say, Its ok. Just stay put...we have provided you some candy to make your life more positive. Christ Jesus will say to such preachers who avoid the truth of Gods Word, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Fathers, and of the holy angels. Preachers who avoid speaking of hell DENY the words of Jesus. The Lord Jesus spoke more of hell that anyone else in the entire bible. He warned us of hell. Here are just a few verses: Matt 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Matt 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Lets consider the popular preachers of today... DISOBEDIENT TO GODS HOLY WORD 2Timothy 4:2-4 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 1Cor 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! APATHETIC TO THE TRUE GOSPEL MESSAGE Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. John 3:17-18 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 1John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. THEY ARE FEARFUL OF PERSECUTION Matt 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake. Luk 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my names sake. John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. 2Timothy 3:12-17 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. LOST SIGHT OF THE ETERNAL PICTURE Matthew 7:13-15 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. The Lord Jesus taught that there are only two roads toward eternity. One is eternity with God through Jesus Christ (the Only Way) and the other is eternity in everlasting torment. What good does Live your best life now do for the person on the road to everlasting judgment? Absolutely nothing. In the end, the person is judged because he did not receive the Lord Jesus Christ as his/her Savior. The Gospel Message is that there is a hell but the Good News is that there is the Savior. Christ Jesus loved us so much that He willingly died to save us from our sins, from hell, from everlasting judgment. The Lord Jesus gives eternal life to all who will receive Him, by faith, as their Savior. The Gospel must be heard in order to be believed. The bible does NOT teach, live your best life now. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Matt 10:38-39 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. CONCLUSION: Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 2Tim 4:1-5 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry
