Position Announcement Adjunct Instructor – Diesel Equipment Technology Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks an adjunct (part-time) Instructor to teach courses in the Diesel Equipment Technology program for the Elbert Campus in Elberton, Georgia. The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives as outlined by the Technical College System of Georgia and use appropriate techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for each Diesel Equipment Technology course offered. The instructor reports to the Diesel Equipment Technology Program Chair. The instructor is responsible for teaching, advising, and evaluation/improvement of educational results. This position requires using appropriate teaching, testing, and grading techniques; maintaining educational records; developing course syllabi, goals, and objectives; evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives; and integrating technology into the classroom to enhance student success. Work experience in the Diesel Equipment industry for at least five of the last eight years. ASE Certifications T1-T8 or Equivalent.
