Position: E-Commerce Developer, SDP Department: Store Type: Full-Time Location: Macys San Francisco Overview: Macys Services Delivery Platform (SDP) team is all about creating reusable services that operate in a high-scale, distributed e-commerce environment. We are looking for motivated Sr. Java Developers to lead the next generation design and code. This person will enhance or extend the digital Platform for one of the great Retail brand in the world. This person will design and build services which will be used by all the SDP service developer community, define service guidelines (SOA), as well as influence governance and practices. Along with a lot of Java best practices, the platform covers a broad swath of cutting edge back end technologies – ranging from Lucene/Solr to Hadoop. We develop massively parallel Big Data processing, Recommendation Services and enable the Macys Omni-channel experience (Catalog, Checkout, Bag, etc.). As a member of the core team within SDP, you will work on a dedicated team focused to create, maintain and evangelize high performance scalable service patterns for Macy’s digital domains such as Mobile, Website and Digital in Store. This person will architect RESTful services that scale and extend predictably in a multi-tenant environment.
