Position: Senior Cognos Developer Pay Rate: 85k - 100k Location: Houston, TX, 77042 General Job Requirements: Work in the Business Intelligence group. The job involves supporting to report writers in the business and consumers of Cognos reports as well as administration of the Cognos environment. Job Duties: • Dash Board Development • Report Development • Present Ideas/solutions to Senior management • Administer the Cognos environment. Required Skills \ Skill Level: • Minimum bachelors degree or equivalent is a must. • Knowledge Manufacturing/Order management for a manufacturing company is a big plus. Should be familiar with terminologies used in a manufacturing/ production environment • The candidate must have working knowledge of database concepts and SQL • Proven experience working with Cognos reporting environment is a requirement (Report Studio/Analysis Studio/ • Framework Manager/Transformer/Metric Studio)• Experience administering a clustered Cognos reporting environment is a requirement • Experience on the use of various business systems to extract meaningful data and perform appropriate analysis to provide business insights is desired • Familiarity with continuous improvement strategies (lean, six-sigma, QRM, and the like) will be useful, but not required • Strong math and analysis skills required • APICS certification a plus
