Position: Senior Petro physicist Location: Dubai Closing date: 1 April 2014 1. Participates in the ongoing training and development of assigned UAE national employees. Includes assessing employees training and development needs, preparing structured development/familiarization programs, monitoring and reporting on progress and counseling employees, as required. 2. Directs and participates in interpretation and evaluation of petrophysical data to determine presence, quality and type of hydrocarbons, fluid contacts, rock matrix constituents and properties. Reviews analytical reports and evaluations relative to petrophysical well data conducted by non-petrophysical staff and consultants, and queries anomalies or non-standard parameters or methodology. 3. Coordinates and participates in formulating petrophysical contributions to exploration, appraisal, undeveloped gas field development and reservoir studies. Reviews team work and coordinates petrophysical input required for generation of reports, plots, graphs and data listings used in geological maps and reservoir models. 4. Has daily interactions with staff within the Department and Division regarding project execution. 5. Has frequent contacts with OPCO staff, staff from SPC companies and Industry Shareholder on joint studies or undeveloped gas reservoirs projects carried out by the OPCOs or SPC companies. 6. B.Sc. Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent discipline with minor or advanced courses in petrophysics, applied physics or math. 7. 8 years varied experience in drilling, wireline and petroleum engineering including experience in field and office works (use of hardware & software models).
