Position Vacant at SPARC Karachi Position: Project Officer Location: Karachi Application Deadline: September 29, 2014 Duration: 9 months Qualification: Masters Degree in social sciences, development studies, conflict studies/conflict management. Experience: At least 3 years experience of working as a project officer for national/international NGOs. Job Description: · Coordinate with stakeholders in target schools (principals, teachers, students) to ensure timely completion of all project deliverables; · Ensure that all project deliverable are completed within the stipulated time frame, in line with project guidelines; · Provide regular reports to the project manager to keep him/her updated on project activities; · Coordinate with and support the project manager in the preparation of activity and project progress reports; · Support the project manager in preparing relevant IEC material on peace, tolerance and inclusiveness, in line with project requirements; · Coordinate with the finance and administration departments to ensure smooth conduction of all project activities; · Manage finances for various activities undertaken under the project; · Identify and address all problems related to project implementation through close coordination with the project manager. Skills Required · Excellent operational knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint); · Good report writing skills and ability complete tasks under pressure; · Strong communication skills in English and Urdu.
