Positions Vacant HANDS was founded by Prof.A.G.Billoo (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) in 1979.HANDS has evolved in 34 years as one of the largest Non-Profit Organization of the country with integrated development model. HANDS has a network of 30 offices across the country and has access to more than 16.2 million population nearly 20,274 villages/ settlement in 34 districts of Pakistan. HANDS strength is 18 volunteers Board Members, more than 1502 full time staff and nearly one million community based volunteers of 5205 medium and small size organizations. HANDS Pakistan is registered under Societies Act, is certified by Pakistan Center of Philanthropy (PCP) and Tax exempted by Income Tax Department Government of Pakistan. HANDS has qualified the Institutional Management Program (IMCP) of USAID of management standards. HANDS is accredited with European Union. Position District Project Manager Place of Posting Ghotki Number of Positions 01 Age limit 25-40 Years Reporting line District Executive Manager/Sr.General Manager GAD & LEP Academic Qualification Masters degree in agriculture Experience 3-5 Years Experience in Development Sector Job Descriptions • Coordinating implementation of need assessment in selected communities with focus on livelihood sector. Establish and manage an effective community-level Livelihood Working Committee (LWC) by chairing and coordinating its regular meetings. Co-ordinate and supervise inputs for those project activities concerned with the distribution of agricultural inputs, and the capacity building of farmers groups. Help to design training events for farmers groups in improved crop production, processing, value addition, storage and marketing of crops, fruits and vegetables. Proficient sound and having knowledge about seed bank methodology and agriculture conservation practices for sustainable agriculture. Knowledge about season crops and fruit, fodder and trees plantation. Liaison with Govt. Line departments and other stakeholders for engaging project activities and training events. Timely and quality achievement of project activities and results related to his/her responsibility. Supervise the compilation of the livelihoods data base for the flood-affected areas at the district level. To initiate actions aimed at breaking down passivity, apathy and attitudes of letting others do things for them. To identify potential income generating opportunities in target communities. Promote use of local resources. To assist community members to identify needs and to generate solutions, identifying priority issues and to analyze their problems. To encourage and stimulate community members to organize for action aimed at solving their problems and to plan, implement and monitor action that they define themselves. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to concerned officials. Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. Support, assist and coordinate with project team in order to meet the project deadlines. Ensure submission of quality project reports on timely and efficiently. Strong communication Skills. Flexible with traveling.
