Positive Thought For Today: Make It Count Democracy is not just voting for your leaders; its really premised upon ordinary citizens understanding the issues.~~Howard Rheingold I believe that the right to vote is one of our most sacred rights...and one that should not be taken lightly. Too often people vote down straight party lines without giving a wink about where each individual candidate stands. There are way too many folks telling ME who I should vote for...or who I should NOT vote for. They are frauds. They have an agenda. Do your homework...KNOW the issues...and vote from a position of knowledge and power. But VOTE! Apathy leads to unrest...small voter turnouts for elections are sad. So, please go out and vote...with your mind and your heart. Stay positive...those that have opposing views from your views are not evil (well, not most of them) so show them the courtesy and respect you would like them to show you. Debate passionately...but civil. Respect opposing views...you just might learn something. Name calling and negative comments only HURT you and your position. Back up your POV with facts...not name calling. But, GET OUT AND VOTE!! This country needs a mandate...and that only comes when a large majority of folks express their beliefs in the voting booth. We have to stop the division in this country...we are ONE! MAKE IT COUNT! Peace!! :-)
