Positivity Diary Day 19 1. Aloha! Great news! I am joining the Kings Hawaiian Ohana! I am excited about their family values and culture: *Excellence. *Dignity. Maintaining the Taira family values of treating everyone with kindness and respect. Respecting ourselves and others. Honoring our commitments. Holding each other accountable. Practicing what we preach. Appreciating each others differences. Professionalism. *Telling it like it is in a way that can be heard. Be honest. Push back. Give feedback to others about their behavior and how it affects you. Deliver the message in a way that can be “heard” and understood by others – not in an angry, sarcastic or disrespectful way; “energetic vs. emotional.” Share information. Manage conflict vs. avoiding conflict. Take personal responsibility for creating trust within the team. Finally, found the right fit! 2. Then I drove about 60 miles to Westlake Village to re Aloha Shirts to as they like to say to “Get your(my) Aloha ON!”. OMG, they had over 3,000 shirts to choose from. Craig is the most awesome Kane. After I told him I drove about 1.5 hours he even let me look through the back warehouse. I found many work shirts at reasonable prices for the Aloha office attire. Now I have to choose one to wear first day at hana! 3. Converted my home work office into a home office for my family to share. That is challenge when we all have different work styles but we will make it work. Implemented a process to eliminate the boxes of junk mail that never gets opened and shredded. The mail comes in, it is opened, filed or shredded, or the bill is paid. There are no other options John Sicklick!
