Post #2 on our love walk. Now in that very same chapter in the book of Luke 10 - this time starting at verse 30-37, we hear Jesus beginning to tell a story A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A (religious Priest), just happen to be going or walking down the SAME road or street and saw the Man , He PASSED BY or Walked across the Street to avoid helping the Man...(Omg), how awful. Soon after, a Levite, when He came to the Place and saw the SAME MAN, also passed him by , by walking across the street, (showing No compassion, no concern, no love of God what so ever), probably on their way to the house of worship and not wanting to be late to get their praise on and receive their pick me up message for the week), but keep in mind saints, both men were religious, claiming to love God.... Finally, A Samaritan, as He traveled, came where this SAME MAN was; and when He saw him, (did he also cross the road, like the other so called holy people)? No He didnt, He had pity or COMPASSION , He went to the Man and bandaged his wounds, He poured expensive oil and wine on his wounds, (this could have been enough), this would have shown real love from God, but this man went even further.....He put the man on his OWN donkey, (which means the Samaritan may had to walk), and took the man to an inn or maybe a hotel, and took care of the Man. The next day, OMG, can we say the next day again friends, I mean this Samaritan really went out of his way to extend the Love of God. So the next day....(You cant stay at a hotel for free friends), the hotel doesnt care about how much you claim to love God, they want their money), so the Samaritan paid two silver coins to the inn-keeper, instructing the inn keeper to Look after the Man and when the Samaritan returns, will pay any extra expense that may come from caring for the man... Jesus asks the expert in law, Which of these THREE MEN who came upon the man who was left for dead and fell into the hands of robbers was a good and proper neighbor.....lets understand Saints, that the Samaritan did not even know the man who came upon the man who was beat. He was a total stranger, a complete stranger..... So the expert in law answered Jesus by saying The One who had mercy upon him. A complete stranger, while the so-called holy devote priest just passed him by to get to the church (maybe)?. Jesus FINAL WORDS TO THE MAN: GO AND DO LIKEWISE...... GOD IS LOVE and were not only created but made in his image, God has given us His Word..We place so much emphasis on how much we claim to love God, but yet show so little Love for one another. Im confused Saints....How can you claim to Love God who you cannot see if you cant or wont show love to your neighbor or brethren whom you can see. Feedback is most welcome. In the Service of the King Ambassador Paul potter Apostle of Love & Unity Post 3 coming soon...
