Post 365 of 365 Never said I was leaving. Auf wiedersehen, au revoir, ciao, hasta luego, på gensyn but not goodbye. This is my 365th post on Facebook. I’ve learned a few lesson along my way. I think my writing skills profited. Discovered I dislike many of the rules imposed by grammarians which appear to be a kind of censorship that screws with message. I have slightly more respect for Facebook. I think it is a good platform for short pieces of fiction or non. I am glad to be in touch through your posts with so many of my old and new friends. I have with a purpose not included many images in my daily posts. Wanted to achieve them in the writing. Although a picture may be worth a thousand words, a word to me is worth an intricate infinity of images. I have tried not to answer comments (Impossible.) I have limited myself to one post a day. Many more and I felt I would be obtrusive. I have mined memories of family, friends, jobs, education, experiences, but limited myself to 300 to 500 words. Sometimes the limitations have been infuriating, I could go on and on. Sometimes I struggled to make the minimum. In many ways, it has been a wonderful year, yet I have shared little of the wonder I have experienced with you. Moving on I will become more topical. The internet is still an unformed and new medium. In short, the bastards have not yet managed to stake their commercial territory. The means of creating are not yet developed. The grammar is just now being created. Web sites are beginning to look less and less like magazines. Blogs (always an awful name) are going in and out of fashion. Finding your way is chaotic. Big money and advertising are pressing their odious presence. I want to join in on the fun. I want to explore. I am sure I will both fail miserably and succeed at times. I promise I’ll bore you with the results on Facebook. I will no longer post on a daily basis. Time to experiment. There is music to write, animation to create, video to shoot, audio dramas to produce, stories to tell, learning to do, unlearning to make. My website, joecoluccio has been moribund for more than a year. However, post I will. My self-imposed limits are off. I feel free to comment. I feel free to post several times on the same day.
