Post-election comment: Over the past few months Ive had a lot to say about voter turnout, being very critical of the pitiful turnout for the past several elections. Well, its time for a shout out for Tuesdays election turnout!! While its a long way from where it should be, the turnout on Tuesday was SO MUCH IMPROVED!! At our voting place, we had close to a 50% turnout of our prescients registered voters. While it was a long and tedious day of working at the polls, it was a very rewarding day to have so many voters come through. At our rural voting prescient, at one point in the day, we had 17 voters scattered about in the polling place studying their ballots and voting. At the same time, we had a citizen voting a provisional ballot. And more voters were coming in to cast their ballots. These efforts speak to a real concern that our citizens have for the condition of our County, State and Nation! Thank you and Kudos to everyone who turned out and voted in Tuesdays election. Congratulations to the victors! Its great to be an AMERICAN!!
