Post for Quilter/Scottie Mad Dog Blinn (Black Market III) Hey - TopicsExpress

Post for Quilter/Scottie Mad Dog Blinn (Black Market III) Hey now, this is Scottie Blinn from the band Black Market III (formerly with the Mississippi Mudsharks) out of San Diego, CA. Ive been recording and touring the States and Europe professionally for 23 years now, ALWAYS with my vintage 65 Super Reverb and 62 Band Master run together. When touring Europe Ive been fortunate to have had either my heads shipped over using cabinets there, or renting Vox AC30s. My discovery of Quilter is similar to Gino Matteos. I saw my friends Nathan James (whom I have known since he was about 15 years old, and kicked everyones ass even then), James Harman, Johnny Main, and Tommy Harkenrider using them and singing their praises. My good friend Scot Smart was kind enough to let me borrow his Micro Pro 200 for a recording I was doing, and for a couple shows. No exaggeration, my mind was blown! I had to buy one immediately. To make a long story short, I had the blessings of meeting Christopher Parks and becoming a Quilter Artist. Chris is the CEO of Quilter Labs, and as a person is testament alone to the quality of the Quilter company. He spent a good couple hours showing us how and why the Quilter Amp is so cutting edge and powerful, and then taking us on a tour of the lab. He topped off the day by taking us to a killer Mexican restaurant for lunch! My old Fenders are getting well earned rest in my studio as the Quilter (run through a 4x12 Marshall cab) is on its first major tour, starting in the States back in June and continuing in Europe from the end of July through November. It was even able to fly with me on the plane in its case as a carry on! This amp, in my opinion, cannot be topped for the reasons we Quilter converts all know. I wrote a series of posts called Reasons I Love My Quilter Amp, and will post it as a full document on my personal page and band page again very soon. Sound men and club owners are now my best friends because of this amp! I am able to dial in KILLER tone at any volume, from small radio booth interviews, various size clubs, to large open air festivals. The ladies like the lights I have affectionately named the amp The Pat Quilter. During the nightly gear check off-- Guitars and Marshall cab, check. Bass and bass rig, check. Drums, check. THE PAT QUILTER...CHECK! A sound man in Berlin gave The Pat Quilter another nickname...Bruce Lee! Small, light, compact, and packs one helluva punch! I could go on for hours about how excited I am about The Pat Quilter. Maybe youve seen my posts since May. My friends who know me know that if I truly dig someone or something, I will share my feelings enthusiastically and loudly. I TRULY DIG EVERYTHING about The Pat Quilter, and as importantly the quality of all the people in the Quilter family. Here are just a couple of pictures from The Pat Quilters first European tour Also, check the YouTube video link of The Pat Quilter in action with Black Market III at the Summer Sounds Festival in Enschede, Netherlands (with my Danelectro baritone). HUGE!!! Listen with earbuds or real speakers for the full effect. THANK YOU Pat Quilter, Christopher Parks, and the entire Quilter family! bit.ly/1BKhzWC
