Crouching low and walking with a silent step, Phoenix explored the empty streets of New Orleans. This city was the same as the other entire major metropolis’s, barren of life and in a constant shade of grey from the sky above. She looked up to it with longing that just once the sun would pop through and the rays would warm her cold skin. This was an utter fantasy and she knew it. Life was barren and the city silent. So silent you could hear a pin hit the cracked asphalt. A city that was once alive with music, food, and endless parties now lay dead under a blanket of memories.
