Post to Selective Asias followers today copied below - big love to all at KGB (and their world-beating support), its all starting to feel very real today as it dawns on me (through the chains of tiredness!) what an incredible achievement it all really was. You should feel very proud of yourselves. Huge, huge congratulations to the magnificent Selective Striders for their quite simply amazing efforts over the weekend. The team finished the South Downs Trailwalker Challenge, covering the 100kms in 26.5 hours, well inside the 30 hour limit. Along with discovering the darker sides to each other (!), the team also raised £1913.00 for Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. Selective Asia are matching this amount in donations to be split between the Yatanabon Yeiknyein Orphanage and the Mines Advisory Group, taking the total raised to £3826.00. Thank you to all of you that contributed, it is hugely appreciated; and well done to Nick, Martin, Karl, Ed and Simon (along with our trekking partners in Team KGB) - its a phenomenal effort that is going to make a real difference to people in need across Asia and around the world. selectiveasia/about/giving-back/selective-striders
