Post was also sent to Scientist (Group).. Making a radio set, using a semiconductor.. By Extremis Jarvis... Simple Project.. The radio waves coming from a radio station are picked up by an antenna... The waves cause varying electric currents to flow down the wire.. These currents pass through the radio set and into the ground.. Inside the radio ret is a tuned circuit consisting of a capacitor (30 pF..for knowledge a pf is one millionth of a uF and one one thousand of uF is nF)... And coil (know as inductor which resists electric current pass through it).. The tuned circuit is used to select the signal as a mixture picked up by the antenna.. A diode (two terminal, assymetric conductance) connected between the circuit and the speaker detects and demodulates the signal.. And as we all know the speaker converts it into sound and we hear the programme... You can also make radio using variable capacitor..
