Postcards From The Road: well, yesterday evening the band wound down the western part of the tour in Silver City NM, and it could not have been warmer. The whole town has the soul of an artist, and I got a chance to visit and play with old friend/former bandmate Phil Brown. How very, very cool. After the merriment came to its inevitable conclusion, we went across the street and checked into an ancient 1880s hotel, the Palace. I have two words: ermahgerd, sperks! This place has as many multidimensional personalities no longer focused in three-dimensional existence as Carters got little liver pills. Heres a few pics from our stay, mostly self-explanatory. The framed etching is of Gertrude, the mail-order bride delivered to the original owner of the hotel, and I post it as evidence that back then they were doing things with finger-waves we havent even begun to imagine.
