Posted by Lime Lite at 4:01 PM Reactions: 2 comments: South Africa: Cosatu enraged by a scrum cap I was under the impression that COSATU stood for the Congress of South African Trade Unions, and not the Cry-babies of South African Trade Unions? So, I must be wrong, because I could swear theyre sticking their noses into South African sport? Something which has NOTHING to do with them whatsoever. Someone feeling left out? Someone needing some attention-wention, COSATU?? Poor babies....... Im guessing now that theyve messed up the South African economy, theyve got time on their hands and are looking for something else to destroy? The SA soccer team Banana-Banana is already a joke - and is made up 100% with Black players - so, ah yes, the second best team in the world of rugby is COSATUs new pet-project. After all, they just cant let Whites have anything to be proud of in the country. Following the Springbok test against Scotland last week-end, the Cry-babies have issued a statement calling on more Black players being included in the team: Looking at the match on Saturday, again black players are brought on to the field in the last five minutes, even though the Springboks are comfortably ahead. This is because the coach is scared that the black players will outshine the white players, if they get lots of game time. Even when players go off for injury, they are rushed back on because the black replacements may shine. According to these couch-cowards, the coach doesnt want to play more Black players because hes scared they will outshine the White players. What a joke. Hilarious! No, you simpering fools, Black players arent played, because there arent many good enough or tough enough to play the game at Test level. Test rugby is for real men - men who can take the hard-knocks and the pounding they get every match. Its not a sport for coddled Black poodles, who only get picked just because of their skin colour. The only way to play the few Black players they can find in the Springbok team is to put them in positions where they wont fu.....errr.. stuff up the game. So, theyre either picked on the wings, where all they have to do is catch the ball and run to the white line in front of them; or, theyre picked as reserves - to make as if there are worthy Black players in the team - and only played towards the end, once the game is all but won and the other team wont hurt them as much. They are never picked in positions where they have to think. But, calling on more Black players wasnt enough for COSATU. No, they then had to attack the scrum cap used by the Springbok captain, Victor Matfield: The arrogance of the white boys club continues to be displayed very publicly, an example being how Matfield wears an old South African riot squad skull cap, completely disregarding how this may impact on the sentiments of black South Africans. He should be told to wear a cap with new national symbols. Yeah, you can tell the ignorance of COSATU, who obviously watch ZERO rugby games, as the scrum cap is part of the away uniform of the provincial team Matfield plays for, the Blue Bulls. South African riot squad skull cup - why yes! Yes thats exactly what it is...... Geez. What a bunch of low-life inbred retards. And thats being kind. Stick with something youre good at COSATU, like destroying the South African economy, and leave sport to those who actually play it. Hat tip: ABC of the ANC Look!!!! An Apartheid-reminding scrum cap used by the sinister Matfield! Runnnnnnnn for your lives! Cosatu has called on ministers and sport administrators to intervene and bring more black players into South African rugby. The trade union federation released a media statement in which it criticises the white old boys club which it believes still rules rugby in South Africa. It follows the Springboks 55-6 win over Scotland in Port Elizabeth at the weekend - a match which was preceded by SARU president Oregan Hoskins urging Bok coach Heyneke Meyer to pick more black players. Meyer did include a few more black players in his squad for the game in Port Elizabeth, but Cosatu was not impressed. The old boys club in rugby still control things in the same way they always have and they manage their public relations to reinforce this, Cosatu said via the media statement. The coach is always presented as now fixing the problems that Peter de Villiers (former Bok coach) caused, to undermine the latter, yet we are bringing back old players when there are existing new ones around. The team on the field is still over-represented by white players, even though there are many great black players in the squad. Looking at the match on Saturday, again black players are brought on to the field in the last five minutes, even though the Springboks are comfortably ahead. This is because the coach is scared that the black players will outshine the white players, if they get lots of game time. Even when players go off for injury, they are rushed back on because the black replacements may shine. Cosatu went one step further and even took a dig at the camouflage scrum cap which Bok captain Victor Matfield wore, believing it resembles the old Apartheid era. The arrogance of the white boys club continues to be displayed very publicly, an example being how Matfield wears an old South African riot squad skull cap, completely disregarding how this may impact on the sentiments of black South Africans. He should be told to wear a cap with new national symbols. When asked for comment, SARU said it would not get involved in political mudslinging, Beeld reports. Source Posted by Lime Lite at 3:52 PM
