(Posted by Ryan) Monday the 11th will mark three weeks with mom here in Carroll at Sunny Brook. Things are definitely going better than we could have ever imagined, and we hope this page helps everyone feel like they can keep track of mom and how she is doing. It has been well documented that I am not social media savvy and have never been part of the movement, but with Megans help we hope to keep this page current for those who dont get to see her on a regular basis. Sunny Brook is a great place, filled with people who are passionate about spoiling those who cannot live on their own. Mom has made several friends and is always eager to take part in the social activities that take place each day. So far mom has: (The list includes but is not limited to) (Im pulling this off of memory so I apologize) Bowled Worked daily on her flowers Played bingo three times Had her nails done six times during pretty nails Been out to eat Gone to the park several times with the girls Been on several rides to check out the country and the crops Laughed a lot and given countless of hugs. She certainly thinks of her friends and family and has caring thoughts daily about the people she loves. I also must thank Mike Coen and the good people at Coens furniture for helping get moms things from Creston to Carroll. Mike picked up moms things from Harmony Ridge and delivered them along with some recent purchases from the store in the Coens van! It has made all the difference in helping her feel at home. As always mom has handled everything with class and grace. We are fortunate that she has shared these lessons with us, and we plan to treat the situation in the manner mom would want us to. We have been extremely fortunate to have her support growing up, and feel equally fortunate to have the opportunity to support her through this move. I hope this note finds our family and friends doing well. And so ends the first social media post of my life! Take care. Thank you for everything, Ryan
