The Human Resources Officer will report to the Chief, Integrated Regional Section, under the overall supervision of the Chief, Field Personnel Operations Service. Education Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in human resources management, business or public administration, social sciences, education or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Work Experience A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management, administration or related field. Experience in HR functions in the context of peacekeeping or other field missions is desirable. Experience in advising regarding budget and strategic human resources issues is desirable. Minimum of one year experience in job classification is desirable. Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised fluency in English is required .Fluency in French is desirable, Knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.
