Posting as me not as ANH. We are in rescue because we want the very best for each one of the animals that come into our care. We have folks that are very offended because they are turned down for an adoption. It isnt always because its the wrong home. Usually its the wrong pet for that home. We know these animals better than anyone and we know where they will work and where they wont.. We care for them when they are scared and sick and sometimes aggressive out of fear. . . We make sure they are happy healthy and socialized before they go to a new home. We have hours and hours of time. energy and money invested. We show them what being safe feels like and just how it feels to be loved. They learn to trust. Please dont be upset if you are turned down. There is a good reason. Hopefully we choose the right home for the right animal. That is the most important part of this work.
