Just a friendly reminder...I think numbers were down (compared to last week) due to too many old tweets being tweeted/recycled during trending. This is a problem because if youve already RTd that tweet in the past (eg the day it was originally tweeted), you cant RT it again. My personal experience tonight was spending a lot of time determining if a tweet was old or if I had already RTd it....rather than generating new tweets or RTing retweetable tweets. (haha say that 10 times fast) There is a small percentage of this happening every week - no big deal. But tonight there were many more recycled tweets than usual. If you want to recycle an old tweet (tweets from many days ago or older) you should strip off prior info - eg, RT @name all reference to previous tweeter. If what Im suggesting is wrong - please correct me on this. Hope this helps.
