Posting on Ginas behalf~ DAY 10 JOURNAL: NOVEMBER 29, 2013 TODAY IS A SPECIAL DAY....IT IS MY SONS 20TH BIRTHDAY!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY!!!! I hope to be the mother you have always dreamt of having for the rest of your days. I love you with all my heart and am so blessed to have such an amazing, smart, intelligent, caring ,and WONDERFUL SON!! i HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!! TODAY WAS AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING DAY!!! THE BEST IVE HAD YET!!!! I am beyond blessed and cant believe the miracles taking place in my life! If somebody would have told me I would be this happy 3 weeks ago, I would have thought they need to be committed... so here goes!!! The administrator called me in her office and said there was a few things she wanted to talk to me about. I had mentioned that I was interested in becoming a catholic- she said that they had arranged for me to work with our Deacon 2 times a week until I am caught up, at which point the will provide me with transportation to get to the classes for RCIA. I should complete the course by May but will be baptized in the Catholic Church this coming Easter!! I AM ELATED!! This was not pushed upon me in anyway. St. Gregorys does not push religion on anybody and is very supportive of each individuals beliefs. This was completely MY decision. St. Gregorys is just amazing at really helping people to achieve any goals they set and fullfil the wishes one may have to help you to become the person you were intended to be, and that you WISH to be. Its a very supportive treatment center. Im so lucky to have been able to come to such an INCREDIBLE place for treatment! Then......heres the big one!!!! the administrator said they had discussed the SOBER LIVING FOR WOMAN quarters for extended care and that I was going to be the FIRST WOMAN ACCEPTED FOR THE PROGRAM!!!! After I graduate sometime in January, I will move downstairs into one of the rooms for continued care and support!! I had expressed many times how I wouldnt be ready to leave and BAM!!!! ST. GREGORYS DELIVERED!!! WHAT AN AMAZING TREATMENT FACILITY, WONDERFUL AND CARING OWNERS AND INCREDIBLE STAFF!!! She said all the details havent been worked out yet, but would let me know how it is going to work within the next 2 weeks. So!!! looks like Im going to be a resident of Iowa for awhile!! yyyyyyeeeehaaaawwww!!! What Support, Huh?? I am SO extremely happy tonight. I really for the first time feel like I have a chance for a future. A chance to be the woman I always wanted to be. I HAVE THE WILL TO LIVE AGAIN!!! I just cant thank all of you enough for everything you have done. Everytime I log on to my email, somebody has sent a supportive letter, made a supportive and sweet comment, or I have received a heart touching story of there own struggles. I am in tears EVERYTIME I log off!! I hope my story somehow reaches out and helps somebody else come to terms with whatever it might be thats holding them back. Life can be such a beautiful thing if we just take that step that seems so impossible to take. I am on MY road to recovery, and if there is ANYBODY out there that needs to talk or is struggling...or just wants to chat....I AM HERE FOR YOU!! you dont even have to tell me your name!! JUST REACH OUT...TAKE THAT STEP!! People really do care. LIFE, LAUGHTER, HOPE, PURE ENJOYMENT....THAT IS ONE STEP WORTH TAKING!!
