Posting three positive things that I am grateful for, at the request of Emily Donn: 1. Im grateful that Im a terrible liar, for I have a very shitty moral compass and a moderately wrinkly brain. I would be the worlds single largest whore and thief, I suspect. 2. The click. The click is that inner switch that turns a meh, a nah or a no into a yes. Click it and from that point youre in it. When youve said YES to something and know in your bones that nothing will stop you from pursuing it and giving of yourself. I can often go through whole projects without ever turning it on. Im there but not fully engaged. Some people can go their whole lives without turning it on. Im grateful that I know what it is, and can recognize the difference in myself and am trusting to click it more and more. Its unmistakable that click, and Im always looking for it in the world. 3. Theres a great quote my acting teacher used to say, and I think its stolen from Oscar Wilde. He said, Life is hard, to which the response was, Compared to what? Im grateful for changes, seasons, passings, trials, and misadventures. I feel like Ive been 100 people in the past two decades because nothing stays the same for very long and what satisfies me today soon tastes stale. A line on a resume is a poorly written credential of all weve become avoiding or running into fires. I used to dole out sage wisdom, now I do very little of that. Im grateful life, my friends and those around me continue to pepper me with opportunity to grow in this experiment and forgive me for not always living up. And if theres a 3b, I guess I would be grateful for internet challenges. Theres nothing quite like wasting your potential learning you should be more like Peter Dinklage. On that note, I pass the challenge to three people who will love me for it: Bart Tangredi, Peter Fluet, and Ed Touchdown Goodman!
