Poverty Poverty goes deeper than the limitations of depth to ones pockets Like a socket It plugs into the vertex Causing the mind to become complex The equilibrium Becomes numb Making those it affects feel the need to succumb To not having none The lack is causing those to figure out how to get some Of that Cash Dividends Moola Guape You go get a glock Start a business selling rock Not knowing that inside you are well stocked You need to change what you feed And plant seeds of positive prosperity You have no clue That God said that your gifts would make room for you With God you can’t fail You are the head and not the tail No longer do you have to live in grief Don’t you know that you are above and not beneath Stop treating your heavenly Father like a foreigner He wants to make you the lender and not the borrower You don’t have to get hook up with a click To make you feel legit God already made a place for you to sit ’Cause the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and add no sorrow to it Poverty is more than the lack of Cash Cars and clothes It’s the lack of wholeness in every area Especially your soul The way to end poverty and break its chains Is to give your life over to the One who reigns Your blessings will fall like rain And those who want to become the show stopper Will not succeed ’Cause no weapon formed against you will be able to prosper So step out of the majority Reach for a level of seniority And become the one who stomps out the spirit of Poverty An An excerpt from The Unprecedented Melodious Words of Ajee Da Poet © 2014 Shelley Fowler
