Poverty pushed Zenaida Martinez to flee Mexico, her home country, - TopicsExpress

Poverty pushed Zenaida Martinez to flee Mexico, her home country, 12 years ago. She came to the United States illegally and got a false Social Security number that in 2008 allowed her to get a job at an East Naples packing house now owned by Oakes Farms. In the six years she has worked and lived in Collier County, Martinez, 32, said she never asked for any benefits from the government and has had taxes withheld from her near minimum wage pay. Collier County Sheriffs deputies and Florida Division of Insurance Fraud on Wednesday raided Incredible Fresh Fruit Dynamics, the packing house where Martinez works, and arrested her and 103 others who were accused of using false documents.
