Powerful psychological (tricks) techniques that will increase your sales: Just shared the application of the contrast principle that I shared during The Awakening webinar to a webinar participant. Shes targeting those who buy & own luxury / designer bags. And Ive just shown her a very simple but effective way how she can use the contrast principle to hook the interest of her target market and present her offerings. (The techniques I shared can be applied in a wide range of industries and businesses.) Heres the power of the contrast principle: When you create a contrast, it automatically create curiousity in the mind of your market. Yup, automatically. Almost irresistibly. And often times stealthily. Its almost like opening a tiny secret door in their mind, and for a split second you can plant a seed of desire that will grow in them. Let me give you an example from the literature classic - A Tale Of Two Cities. The story start with: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... If you pause and consider the beginning of that sentence for a moment, youll realise that it describes a sharp contrast: The best and the wost. Youll notice that it instantly create curiousity in the mind of the reader. Why is it the best & the worst? What makes the difference? What is happening in the story? etc. Congratulations, youve just opened up a tiny, split second window in the readers mind where you can insert / plant ideas / suggestions. Your next consideration is what ideas to plant in their minds. When you do it right and plant the right ideas, this technique can be extremely powerful and persuasive. In fact, during the webinar I shared some of the extremely successful campaigns that was based on this contrast principle. This is just one of the Inception techniques that Ill be teaching in my upcoming copywriting workshop. Common mistake that novice copywriter/market make... Good copywriting is not just about writing benefits down. You probably have seen flyers / brochures / websites that just list down benefits but dont sell well... yet, there are those that seems to not list any obvious benefits but sell powerfully. Cos its a lot more than just listing benefits. A good copy includes advanced persuasion techniques integrated into the whole structure. Thats what makes an average copy become a profit-raking copy.
