Prabh Aasra (Home for Destitute) team visited Sri Nagar for survey and support including distribution of relief material. It was observed that people living in villages quite far did not get any help even after more than a month of devastating flood. The huge paddy and fruit crop has been destroyed by the floods and unabated heavy rains. The people who are living in J&K for over last 20 years but not the natives of J&K, are being completely ignored because they are not found eligible for the compensation because home and shop are not on their name. They are starving for basic needs. To discuss the condition of people, Prabh Aasra Relief Team met The Hon’able Chief Justice J&K. After the discussion we felt that all of us should write an application and e-mail to Chief Justice J&K on behalf of the victims which may help for care of the ignored. We should help them at our best by helping them with their basic needs like warm clothes, blankets, food material. And for their rehabilitation the social welfare societies/NGOs , religious centres should come forward and work with the respective District Administration. We at our individual/group should approach District Administrations by bringing into their notice the areas like(---) have not been provided with needful help.
