Practicality kept me inside in my PJs today. If I would like to be - TopicsExpress

Practicality kept me inside in my PJs today. If I would like to be on my feet on Thursday I need to rest, so I did. Normally I would have been romping around in the woods, but instead I slept in, ate lunch, then went back to bed and slept again until the smells of yet another turkey being cooked and the sound of a mixer whipping mashed potatoes woke me up. I feel like Im living at a bed and breakfast. Its good to be at the Sweeney Compound. In other news I have made friends with the family dog. His name is Oscar. He bellows every time I come into the house, yet if I am up he plants himself within throwing distance to catch anything that I deem edible for him. He enjoyed the remains of two turkey legs that I stripped and took all the doggy parts off for him. Skin, fat, sinewy parts, it all went into the doggy disposal. Right now he is sitting at my feet giving me the eye because all the left overs are on the counter and he knows its time for me to put them away. Im a sucker for cute ears and liquid brown eyes. I cant resist. The day this dog stops eating is the day it will be time to head to the vet. It will mean the end is near, he is the sinkhole of gluttonism, and yet he is not fat. Just a medium sized dog with a huge stomach. He likes to nudge my door open and come sleep under my bed, which is fine, however dogs that eat as much as him have go tot have gas and I would rather not sleep in a blue cloud if I can avoid it. My nasal passages are clogged right now so Oscar slept under the bed two nights ago, he didnt complain that I snored and I didnt know if he smelled up the joint. Its a compatible agreement. Ive started a small dish garden with round pieces of moss and a tiny fern I have found on my meanderings. It is sitting in the kitchen and is waiting for soil but for now it seems very happy in water. This cold thing is so weird. I dont exactly feel sick, just sort of tired. When I lay down I cough. Sometimes I sneeze. I dont get it, but I am grateful Im not a sneezing hacking coughing mess.
