Practically does tenant need to pay commission YES,tenant need to pay commission if they needed to use our services However if u represent the landlord where u advertise, U are not allowed to collect commission from the tenant Can we charge tenant a nominal fee for doing SP service transfer and stamp duty which required to be done by tenant then? Im afraid not.CEA does not allow us to collect any fee other than one side. Can we ask the tenant to do themself? What if they never transfer the SP services or never do the stamp duty but contract has been done? It became our fault not completing the procedure Yesterday there is an agent ask me?can we charge the landlord one month commission be it one year or two year lease. In fact if you want to charge two month commission also can subject to your negotiation just that market practice is collecting one year for half month commission if we charge one month.next year i doubt the owner will give us business bcos they feel we overcharged landlord even though we provide them good services. Both landlord and agent must agreed to commission before signing service fee form. It seems like we are doing more and more but getting less and less Lately i have been receiving calls from direct tenant.Asking me,are you a Landlord agts?do we need to pay commission?when the landlord calls, they will ask are you a tenants agents?u collect commission from your tenant right. Landlord not paying commission Tenant not paying commission What supposing are we working for?market has been so bad.we raise our professionalism and services but yet we are not getting our professionalism fee right Is this a dilemma all agents are facing?
