Praise God My dad had surgery Monday and he came thru it great. He will have a series of shots over the next few weeks for precaution in the event some cancer cells escaped. God has already touched him keeping the cancer from spreading. Some may think Why didnt God completely heal him? We dont know the mind of God and why He allows some things and not others. The Dr was certain the cancer was caught too late, when the results from the bone scan and CT came back he was amazed. I fully believe God kept it from spreading or maybe it did and He healed that part. When we serve God He allows us to go thru hard times to build our relationship with Him and our faith. The key to that is not to run to God only in the bad times like so many do. When we do that we dont grow because as soon as the trial is over we go right back to our sinful life. Then we have to learn that same lesson over and over because there is no spiritual growth. Dont just run to Him in the bad times, stay with Him all the time then every lesson learned brings us closer to Him. Its like going to school, every grade is more difficult than the last until we learn what we need to learn we cannot move up. In our walk with God we should be moving up a grade after every trial until we graduate. The graduation ceremony will be when we are in Heaven and in the presence of Almighty God.
