Praise God today is friday 11/8/13, what a privilege to share the living word of God. Today we continue in our series going to God for everything, here is another question for you Are you in need of healing for a skin disease? Does God have a solution to that? Yes He does, lets look at another example in the bible Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper. (2 Kings 5:1 KJV) What is leprosy? A chronic, mildly infectious disease caused by mycobacterium leprae, affecting the peripheral nervous system, skin, and nasal mucosa and variously characterized by ulcerations, tubercular nodules, and loss of sensation that sometimes leads to traumatic amputation of the anesthetized part. Believe me people of God, He is the best dermatologist out there. He specializes in any kind of skin disease There was a maid that was taken captive from Isreal, she gave a valuable advice that no amount of money can buy. Lets see what the advice is And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naamans wife. And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy. (2 Kings 5:2, 3 KJV). In our study today I am that maid telling you it is time to seek God for this skin disease The advice was for Naaman to seek God for his skin condition, I know we have the best of doctors in America, even skin specialist dermatologist. I know that with Naaman he must have sought after the best of doctors in his days, I am not saying seeing a doctor is bad but seeking God is the first thing we should do. And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy. And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me. (2 Kings 5:6, 7 KJV) May be it is time to show case your God, may you dont have any skin disease but your friend, co-worker or a neighbor comes to you that i know your God can help me like a letter was brought to this king. What are you going to do? We have so many opportunity to show case our God but we dont because we are afraid that the miracle will not happen. My advise is this he has the disease already so if you pray and nothing happens, the worse case scenario is that he or she will make fun of you. WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS, please consider that and reach out, a great opportunity to share the gospel of salvation And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. (2 Kings 5:8, 9 KJV) When it comes to God for solution He gives you simple instructions to follow, following the instruction always bring divine intervention And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. (2 Kings 5:10 KJV) Sometimes when divine instruction comes it does not settle well with our physical understanding and some have lost out on what God intended to do. But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. (2 Kings 5:11, 12 KJV) Thank God for friends that will encourage you to follow through with the will of God. And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean? Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. (2 Kings 5:13, 14 KJV) Lastly, he came back to the man of God, some of us when receive our miracle we dont even bother to share the testimony talk less of coming back. And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant. (2 Kings 5:15 KJV) I pray today that your testimony will remind people that there is still a God who rules in the affairs of men Always remember to sow a good seed for next miracle you are believing for. Thought for the week Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV) Have you called unto him yet? Try calling today he is on speed dial. Have a blessed weekend and remember JESUS IS LORD
