Praise the Lord. 1 Peter 4:3 Because for long enough, in times past, we have been living after the way of the Gentiles, given up to the desires of the flesh, to drinking and feasting and loose behaviour and unclean worship of images; For you spent enough time in the past doing what the Gentiles like to do, living in sensuality, sinful desires, drunkenness, wild celebrations, drinking parties, and detestable idolatry. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: For the time that has passed was sufficient for you to do what the non-Christians desire. You lived then in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, carousing, drinking bouts, and wanton idolatries. For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries. II Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement has the house of God with images ? For we are a house of the living God; even as God has said, I will be living among them, and walking with them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people. What agreement can a temple of God make with idols ? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said: “I will live and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols ? for you are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols ? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said, “I will live in them. Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord; that is my name: I will not give my glory to another, or my praise to pictured images. I, the LORD, am the one, and I won’t give my name and glory to another, nor my praise to idols. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. I am the LORD ! That is my name ! I will not share my glory with anyone else, or the praise due me with idols. I am Yahweh. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images. Ephesians 4:27-28, 31-32 27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be you kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake has forgiven you. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. 19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. I Peter 2:18 You household servants must submit yourselves to your masters out of respect, not only to those who are kind and fair, but also to those who are unjust. Colossians 3:22 22 Servants, obey in all thingsyour masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: Colossians 3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. Romans 12:13 Giving to the needs of the saints, ready to take people into your houses. Supply the needs of the saints. Extend hospitality to strangers. Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Contribute to the needs of the saints, pursue hospitality. Contributing to the needs of the saints; given to hospitality. II Timothy 3:17 So that the man of God may be complete, trained and made ready for every good work. So that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good action. That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. That the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work. That each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Ephesians 4:29 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
