Praise the Lord. IT IS TIME TO GET RID OF HURT ... Hurt is designed to keep you away from the blessings of God in your life, and stops you from going forward. God is committed to healing those who are hurt. (Psalm 147:3). A broken and hurt person will not be able to bear up under pressure. (Proverbs 18:14). Throw out the old saying : sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me, because the truth is that words hurt. Harsh words can pierce like a sword, but the words of the wise bring healing. (Proverbs 12:18). Locate your hurt and get rid of it. Do not build a foundation on it and use it as a crutch. Hurt will distort your view and make you bitter toward others. To stop hurt from happening, you have to stop finding your point of reference in past pains and relating to those pains to every situation. Even though it hurts, you must dismiss people what people have done to you and FORGIVE them. Let your wounds be healed. There are three things that you will notice when you are around hurt people. They are unpleasant to be around. They talk about their past often. They prompt you to ask them what is wrong. They wear their feelings on their sleeves and SEEK SYMPATHY. They become ANGRY which can turn inward. They lose initiative to fight against the hurt, allowing depression to set in. They seldom make good decisions. Hurt people make decisions to protect their feelings, not their future. HURT PEOPLE MAKE DECISIONS TO PROTECT THEIR FEELINGS, NOT THEIR FUTURE. For example, when your children do not listen you and do not obey you and do not do as you tell or as you want, you get hurt, annoyed, frustrated, angry, even depressed, etc. and also in many similar situations. It is precisely here that you have to realise that YOU HAVE TO CHANGE FIRST AND START COMPLYING WITH THE WORD OF GOD ONLY before the change appears and occurs in your children and in others. This attitude has to change first before you even go ahead with FASTING. It is of primary importance that you do the following right now and onwards -- everyday : Read and meditate deeply from the Holy Bible the following Scriptures and rectify yourself accordingly : Proverbs 3:5-6; Romans 10:9-11; Mark 11:25-26; Matthew 6:14-15; Colossians 3:8-9; Romans 12:9; I Thessalonians 5;22; Romans 12:13, 14; Matthew 10-36; 5:44; Philippians 2:4-5; 2:14; 4:6; I Thessalonians 4:3; I Peter 4:3; James 4:4; 4:7; 1:3; I Corinthians 6:18-20; II Corinthians 4:17; Jeremiah 17:7, 14; 29:11; 33:3; Exodus 14:4; Proverbs 19:17; Isaiah 41:10-13; 43:18-19; Romans 15:13. Read all my posts. Write all of them down. Do a thorough confession and do not repeat any sin any more. God wants a pure heart, a contrite heart, a humble heart which is in line with THE WORD OF GOD before He manifests His works in you. Otherwise, you will forget the LORD your God by failing to keep His commands, ordinances, and statutes that I am commanding you this day. Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping His commandments, and His judgments, and His statutes, which I command thee this day: Be sure you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, ordinances, and statutes that I am giving you today. Beware lest you forget Yahweh your God, in not keeping His commandments, and His ordinances, and His statutes, which I command you today; Romans 10:9-11 9 That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture said, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. II Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. I Corinthians 1:17-20 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise ? Where is the scribe ? Where is the disputer of this world ? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world ? Titus 3:9 But have nothing to do with foolish questionings, and lists of generations, and fights and arguments about the law; for they are of no profit and foolish. But avoid foolish controversies, arguments about genealogies, quarrels, and fights about the Law. These things are useless and worthless. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
